Summary
Amends the Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act of 1940 to require any person seeking exemption from personal property taxes in the State or political subdivision where he abides in compliance with military or naval orders, to file a written statement with such State or subdivision stating: (1) the name of the State or political subdivision claimed as residence or domicile; and (2) evidence of tax compliance with the claimed State or subdivision, if it imposes a personal property tax similar to the one imposed by the State or subdivision of abode.
