Summary
Control of Paperwork Amendments - Amends the General Education Provisions Act to establish within the National Center for Education Statistics a unit to review and coordinate Federal education information and data acquisition activities and to limit the collection of unnecessary or redundant information. Establishes procedures and duties for such unit including the development of (1) standard education-related definitions; and (2) an automated data indexing system. Authorizes Federal grants to State educational agencies for the development and improvement of computer data systems. Establishes a Federal Education Data Acquisition Council to advise with respect to the development and coordination of Federal information and data acquisition activities.
