Summary
Amends titles XVIII (Medicare), XIX (Medicaid), and XI (Part A, General Provisions) of the Social Security Act to provide for civil and criminal penalties for any individual who presents a claim for a physician's service and knows or has reason to know that the individual who furnished the service either: (1) was not a licensed physician; (2) was licensed, but obtained the license through a material misrepresentation; or (3) misrepresented certification in a medical specialty.
