Summary

Federal Elective Officeholders Disclosure of Income and Assets Act - Requires each Member of Congress who reports his income to the Federal Government for income tax purposes on a calendar year basis to file with the Secretary of the Senate of the United States or the Clerk of the House of Representatives of the United States, as the case may be, by the 30th day of April of each year, a certified copy of his Federal income tax return for the preceding three calendar years. Requires each President and Vice President of the United States who reports his income to the Federal Government for income tax purposes on a calendar year basis to file with the Secretary of the Treasury by the 30th day of April of each year, a certified copy of his Federal income tax return for the preceding three calendar years. Requires Members of Congress or the President or Vice President who have received any additional income from any source during said calendar year or other taxable year which is not reported on said Federal income tax return to file a separate sworn statement of such additional income. Requires Members of Congress, candidates for those offices, and the President and Vice President and candidates for those offices to file as the case may be, by the sixtieth day beginning after the date of enactment of this Act and at one year intervals thereafter, a statement containing the information described in this Act. Provides that whoever knowingly and willfully violates any of the provisions of this Act shall be fined not more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.
