Summary

Old Faithful Protection Act of 1993 - Amends the Geothermal Steam Act of 1970 to declare that any use, production, exploration, or development of a geothermal facility related to the use of subsurface geothermal resurces within the Corwin Springs Known Geothermal Resource Area will result in adverse effects on significant thermal features in Yellowstone National Park. Directs the Secretary of the Interior to prohibit any activity relating to such uses, including activities involving rights or interests in lands and waters not owned by the United States. Prohibits the Secretary from issuing any lease for lands within a 15-mile radius of the boundary of Yellowstone National Park. Imposes a moratorium period within such radius, prohibiting any geothermal facility activity relating to subsurface geothermal resources on non-Federal property and interests until the Congress has received a National Park Service study on the impact of potential geothermal development on the thermal features of Yellowstone National Park.
