Summary
Authorizes the Secretary of the Navy to conduct a five-year program of exploration for oil and gas on Naval Petroleum Reserve Number 4, in the State of Alaska. Directs the Secretary of the Navy to make annual reports to the Congress regarding the progress, results, and findings of the exploration programs authorized by this Act, including any recommendations with respect thereto. States that on or before the expiration of the five-year period following the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Navy shall submit a comprehensive final report to the Congresss containing the findings and results of the exploration program carried out pursuant to this Act. Authorizes to be appropriated certain specified amounts to carry out the purposes of this Act.
