Summary
Adds to Older Americans Act of 1965 a new title, Title X: Senior Environmental Employment Corps. Creates within the United States Environmental Protection Agency the Senior Environmental Employment Corps, in the Office of the Administrator. States that the purpose of the creation of such Corps is to develop useful employment opportunities in envrionmental activities for unemployed and underemployed persons who are 55 years of age or older. Authorizes the Administrator to fund, by means of grants, up to 90 percent of the cost of projects developed under this Act. Directs the Administrator to consult: (1) with State agencies on Aging concerning potential projects; and (2) with relevant Federal agencies in order to achieve optimal coordination with such other programs.
