Summary
Department of Senior Citizens Affairs Act - Establishes an executive department to be known as the Department of Senior Citizens Affairs to be headed by a Secretary of Senior Citizens Affairs. States that the Department shall serve as a clearinghouse for information related to the problems of the elderly, shall gather statistics in the field of the elderly and carry out such other functions as specified in the Act. Transfers to the Secretary all functions, powers, and duties of the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare and of all other offices and officers of the Administration on Aging under the Older Americans Act of 1965. Specifies other functions which shall also be transferred to the Secretary.
