Extends the definition of "law enforcement officer," for purposes of civil service retirement, to employees whose duties involve the protection of human life and property and the investigation and apprehension of individuals suspected or convicted of criminal offenses, if such employees are employed by an agency which is responsible for protecting residential properties.
