Summary

Permits any Federal employee who is involuntarily separated from service as a result of a reduction in force, the abolishment of his position, the closing or transfer of any military or civilian base or other organizational unit of the Government, or any other organizational change defined by the Civil Service Commission, after completing 20 years of service, to in lieu of any annuity to which he is entitled, elect to receive an annuity equal to 66-2/3 percent of his average pay over any 3 consecutive years of creditable service. (Adds 5 U.S.C. 8336a)
