Summary
Amends the Older Americans Act of 1965 to establish the National Commission on Housing for the Elderly. Requires the Commission to study, investigate, and review: (1) present Federal programs to provide low- and middle-income housing for senior citizens; (2) the need for additional housing; (3) the feasibility of utilizing existing slum or abandoned central city housing to create senior citizen communities after rehabilitation; (4) the need for physical, social, cultural, and religious activities in senior citizen communities; and (5) the need for a living environment which provides adequate safeguards for the security of the residents.
