Summary

Amends the Federal-State Extended Unemployment Compensation Act of 1970 to exempt from "active search for work" requirements for benefits under such Act individuals who are: (1) acting as jurors in a civil, State, or Federal trial; or (2) hospitalized due to a life-threatening condition. Directs the Secretary of Labor to issue regulations relating to such exemptions within 30 days of enactment of this Act.
