Summary

Prohibits a seller or publisher from mailing goods, materials, or publications (or a bill therefor) to any individual pursuant to a purchase order or subscription bearing such individual's name without first confirming that such individual in fact sent the order or subscription. Prescribes a penalty of up to a $1,000 fine and/or 1 year imprisonment for violations of the provisions of this Act. (Adds 18 U.S.C. 1731)
