Summary

Supreme Court Jurisdiction Act - Repeals various provisions authorizing appeals to the United States Supreme Court, including (1) direct appeal from a United States district court decision holding an Act of Congress unconstitutional in a civil proceeding to which the United States is a party; (2) appeal from a United States court of appeals decision holding a State statute unconstitutional; (3) appeal from a decision of the highest court of a State holding a State statute constitutional; (4) appeals regarding the constitutionality of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971; (5) appeal from the Court of Claims with regard to certain Indian claims in California; and (6) direct appeal from a United States district court decision regarding construction of the Alaska pipeline. Substitutes Supreme Court review by writ of certiorari for certain of these actions.
