Summary
Authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture, through grants made under contracts or other arrangements, to establish and operate, near the District of Columbia, an international agricultural trade center, in order to: (1) demonstrate the latest methods and technology, equipment, facilities, chemicals, and seeds being used in the United States to produce agricultural products; (2) exhibit the latest varieties of agricultural commodities and breeds of poultry and livestock being produced and raised in the United States; (3) provide a facility for holding international conferences on agricultural production and trade; and (4) improve and expand exportation of agricultural products and equipment, facilities, chemicals, and seeds used in producing such products. Authorizes the appropriation of $5,000,000 for fiscal year 1979 to carry out the provisions of this Act.
