Summary
Community Crime Prevention Assistance Act - Establishes in the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration the Office of Community Anti-Crime Programs to be under the direction of the Deputy Administrator for Policy Development. Directs the Office to: (1) provide technical assistance to local groups to enable them to apply for grants to encourage community and citizen participation in crime prevention and other law enforcement activities; (2) coordinate its activities with other Federal agencies and programs; and (3) provide information on a successful program of citizen and community participation to citizen and community groups. Authorizes the appropriation of a sum not to exceed $15,000,000 for fiscal year 1977 to carry out the purposes of this Act.
