Summary
Authorizes the utilization of the services of registered professional nurses by Professional Standards Review Organizations in carrying out their functions under Title XI (General Provisions and Professional Standards Review) of the Social Security Act. Requires the inclusion of registered professional nurses on the Statewide Professional Standards Review Councils organized pursuant to such Title. Requires the inclusion of one registered professional nurse on the National Professional Standards Review Council. Includes registered professional nurses in that class of health care practitioners which may not be held civilly liable on account of any action taken in compliance with or reliance upon norms of care and treatment applied by a Professional Standards Review Organization.
