Summary
Police and Firemen's Salary Act - Authorizes the District of Columbia Council to change the rate of taxes imposed under specified D.C. tax Acts in order to provide for an increase in compensation for police and firemen in the District of Columbia. Establishes a Police and Firemen's Personnel Board. Specifies the composition and duties of such Board, including to report to the Commission any cost-of-living changes, and to study compensation comparisons for police and firemen of other areas. Provides for the submission of labor disputes between the District of Columbia and the police and firemen to a 3-member arbitration board.
