Summary
Requires hiring based soley upon fixtures for the performance of duties, rather than the granting of preference on the basis of political affiliation or recommendation by any political organization, in the hiring of temporary or part-time employees to carry out censuses, surveys, or other work of the Bureau of the Census. Sets forth penalties for violations of this Act. Provides that anyone who attempts to cause the employment of any person in a capacity covered by this Act shall be fined not more than $1,000 for each such violation. (Adds 13 U.S.C. 27,215)
