Summary

Department of Defense Supplemental Appropriation Authorization Act - Title I: Procurement - Authorizes additional appropriations for fiscal year 1977 for the procurement of aircraft by the Air Force and naval vessels, torpedoes and related equipment by the Navy. Amends the Department of Defense Appropriation Authorization Act, 1977, to increase the appropriations authorized under such Act for aircraft procurement by the Navy and Marine Corps. Increases the authorized appropriations for the procurement of US-3A COD aircraft by such armed forces. Title II: Authorizes additional appropriations for fiscal year 1977 for various armed forces for research, development, test and evaluation. Repeals appropriations authorized under the Department of Defense Appropriation Authorization Act for research and development of the Trident missile system. Title III: Reserve Forces - Amends such Act to reduce the average personnel strength of the Naval Reserve. Title IV: Procurement, Transition Quarter - Authorizes additional appropriations for the procurement of naval vessels by the Navy during the period July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1976.
