Summary
Time Out for One Year: Osprey Safety Evaluation Act of 2001 - Rescinds specified funds made available under the Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2001 for Navy and Air Force aircraft procurement to be derived from V-22 Osprey aircraft. Allows remaining program funds for the Navy's V-22 (Medium Lift) program to be used only to maintain the program production base. Directs the: (1) Secretary of the Navy to submit to Congress an evaluation of Osprey research, development, test, and evaluation, as well as possible Osprey data falsification; and (2) Inspector General of the Department of Defense to submit to Congress the results of the investigation of such program.
