Summary
Year 2000 Compliance Assistance Act - Amends the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 to authorize the Administrator of the General Services Administration (GSA) to provide for use by State or local governments of GSA's Federal supply schedules for automated data processing equipment (including firmware), software, supplies, support equipment, and services related to the Year 2000 computer conversion. Provides that participation by a firm that sells to the Federal Government through the supply schedule shall be voluntary with respect to a sale to a State or local government through such schedule. Terminates such authority on December 31, 2002.
