Summary
Overseas Private Investment Corporation Amendments Act of 1997 - Amends the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 to increase the ceiling on the maximum contingent liability outstanding at any one time for the financing of investment guarantees issued by the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) as well as of direct U.S. investment. Extends OPIC's authority to issue investment insurance and such guarantees through FY 2000.
