Summary
Mining and Minerals Policy Act Amendments of 1989 - Amends the Mining and Minerals Policy Act of 1970 to declare that: (1) Federal assistance to foreign mining ventures does not serve U.S. national security and economic interests; and (2) acceleration of Federal efforts to reduce U.S. dependency on foreign sources of minerals, especially critical minerals, is in the national interest.
