Summary
Prohibits the manufacture or importation of specified chlorofluoromethanes (commonly referred to by the trade names Freon 11 and Freon 12), and imposes criminal penalties for violation of this Act. States that this Act shall take effect July 1, 1976, unless a determination is made that such chlorofluoromethanes present no substantial danger to human life, agriculture, or the national environment. Empowers the President of the National Academy of Sciences with sole authority to make such determination.
