Summary
Overseas Special Suppemental Food Program Amendments of 1999 - Amends Federal armed forces provisions relating to the overseas special supplemental food program (providing food benefits for military personnel and civilian employees accompanying such personnel at duty stations outside the United States) to: (1) require (current law authorizes) the Secretary of Defense to carry out such program; (2) require the Secretary to use available Department of Defense funds to carry out the program; (3) require nutrition education and counseling to be provided under the program; and (4) direct the Secretary of Agriculture, upon request, to provide technical assistance to the Secretary in carrying out such program.
