Summary

Consumer Fraud Act - Prohibits deceptive acts or practices in connection with the sale of consumer goods or services, including false advertising, intended undersupply of goods, misrepresentation of goods and acceptance of consideration without intending to perform or deliver as promised. Sets criminal penalties for the violation of this Act. Establishes civil remedies available to the affected consumer. Allows the Attorney General of the United States or the attorney general of any State in which a prohibited act or practice occurred to bring an action to enjoin any act in violation of this Act.
