Summary
Self-Sufficiency Through Education Act - Amends part A (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) (TANF) of title IV of the Social Security Act to: (1) allow up to 24 months of postsecondary education or vocational educational training to count as a permissible work activity under the TANF program; and (2) remove single teen parent heads of households who maintain satisfactory school attendance from the 20 percent limitation on the number of persons that may be treated as engaged in work for monthly participation rate purposes.
