Summary

Motor Vehicle Import Control Act of 1981 - Limits the number of automobiles, trucks, and engines imported during each of the calendar years 1982-1984 to ten percent of the domestic consumption of automobiles, trucks, and engines during each such year. Directs the Secretary of Commerce to estimate the domestic consumption of automobiles, trucks, and engines for each quota year and to determine, on the basis of such estimate, the number of such vehicles and engines to be imported. Provides for the allocation and administration of the import quotas.
