Summary

Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to use specified means to effect the consolidation of land within the Umatilla Indian Reservation, Oregon, into the ownership of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Reservation and to attain and preserve an economic land base for Indian use. Provides that lands acquired pursuant to this Act shall not be taxable and shall be subject to the same laws as other Indian trust lands within the Umatilla Reservation. Allows for the acquisition, sale, or exchange of lands, upon the request of the Board of Trustees of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Reservation, for any purpose consistent with the land consolidation and development program approved by the Secretary of the Interior for such lands.
