Summary

States that the regulations relating to control of air pollution from aircraft and aircraft engines proposed by the Administrator of Environmental Protection Agency and published in the Federal Register of December 12, 1972 (37 F.R. 26488-26500) shall have the force and effect of law. Advances the effective date of the following regulations from January 1, 1976, to January 1, 1975: (1) standards for exhaust emissions from new aircraft gas turbine engines in specified classes; (2) standards for exhaust emissions of smoke from in-use aircraft gas turbine engines of class T2 and T3; (3) standards for exhaust emissions resulting from the generations of onboard power from new gas turbine aircraft; and (4) standards for exhaust emissions from in-use aircraft resulting from generation of onboard power. Advances the effective date of the following regulations from January 1, 1979, to July 1, 1977: (1) crankcase emission standards for new class P1 aircraft piston engines; (2) standards for exhaust emissions from new and in-use aircraft piston engines; and (3) standards for exhaust emissions resulting from the generation of onboard power from each new gas turbine aircraft.
