Summary

Mass Transit Crime Prevention Act of 1981 - Amends the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964 to condition Federal financial assistance after September 30, 1981, for the construction or operation of facilities and equipment for use in a public mass transportation system upon the submission, approval, and implementation of an effective plan for crime prevention for such system. Directs the Secretary of Transportation to prescribe minimum standards for the approval of such plans.
