Summary
Get Tough on Cocaine Act of 1997 - Amends the Controlled Substances Act and the Controlled Substances Import and Export Act to make prohibitions and penalties for the manufacture, distribution, sale, possession, importation, or exportation of crack cocaine applicable to the same amounts of powdered cocaine. Directs the Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration to submit to the Congress an annual report on the number of Federal arrests for crack cocaine and powder cocaine offenses according to the age, gender, and race of the persons arrested and including the amounts of controlled substance involved in the offense for which each arrest is made.
