Summary

Federal Land Survey Act of 1983 - Requires the Secretary of the Interior to provide at least 30 days notice to all affected parties and the local public of the intent to survey or resurvey public lands. Establishes procedural guidelines for the conduct of such surveys and negotiations with private contractors. Requires the Secretary of the Interior, the Secretary of Commerce and the Secretary of Agriculture to: (1) assess national cadastre information needs; (2) develop a feasibility study for establishing a multipurpose national cadastre system; and (3) submit such feasibility report with possible legislative recommendations to the Congress within three years after enactment.
