Summary
Ferry Safety Enhancement Act of 2005 - Amends Federal shipping law to treat as a passenger vessel any vessel that carries more than 399 passengers. Directs the Secretary of the department in which the Coast Guard is operating to: (1) prescribe regulations that require such passenger vessels be equipped with a voyage data recorder; and (2) require vessel pilots to submit their annual physical examination results to the Coast Guard.
