Summary
Establishes a Works Progress Administration to carry out a program to provide unemployed individuals' employment in the construction, maintenance, and carrying on of works of a public nature. Includes in such works: (1) projects in connection with forestation; (2) construction and repair of public highways and other public facilities; and (3) construction and repair of public or low-cost housing. Authorizes the Administrator of such Administration to provide for such housing and subsistence as may be necessary for those employed in such program. Authorizes to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act.
