Summary

Amends the Federal criminal code to make it an offense for any Federal law enforcement officer to assault or otherwise physically injure an individual by using greater force than is necessary to carry out the officer's official duties. Imposes a fine of not more than $100,000 or imprisonment for not more than one year, or both. Requires the Attorney General to review each report of such violation and to determine whether a prosecution should not be undertaken.
