Summary
Congressional Advisory Commission on Boxing Act - Establishes the Congressional Advisory Commission on Boxing to make legislative recommendations to Congress on the establishment of minimum uniform standards for professional boxing events held in the United States or broadcast in interstate commerce. Requires the Commission to report to Congress, not later than nine months after its first organizational meeting, on the following: (1) licensing requirements; (2) health and medical requirements; (3) safety requirements and performance standards for equipment and facilities; (4) bonding requirements for promoters; (5) accountability in all aspects of professional boxing; (6) health, life, and accident insurance requirements; (7) the reporting to a national authority of information on the health and medical condition, background, and ring record of boxers, as well as background information on promoters; and (8) fines and penalties for violations of national standards. Terminates the Comission 60 days after submitting the report. Authorizes appropriations.
