Summary

Amends title II (Old Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance) (OASDI) of the Social Security Act to require the Secretary of Health and Human Services to take affirmative measures to assure that OASDI benefits are not paid to deceased individuals. Requires, if practicable, that such measures include having State or local officials who are responsible for issuing death certificates or recording deaths periodically provide the Secretary with the names of the deceased within their jurisdiction.
