Foreign Communications Free Trade Act of 1989

Summary

Foreign Communications Free Trade Act of 1989 - Amends the Foreign Agents Registration Act of 1938 to eliminate certain requirements with respect to the filing of statements with the Attorney General before disseminating political propaganda. Replaces current requirements for an identifying statement on any political propaganda with the requirement that any communication or prints that originate outside the United States include a conspicuous statement of the country of origin. Authorizes the Attorney General to define by rule what constitutes a conspicuous statement.
