Summary

Permits a member of the Armed Forces who is mentally retarded or who has a serious physical handicap to obtain covered treatment from any private institution (previously nonprofit). Allows the pregnant wife of a member of the Armed Forces, who dies while eligible for the receipt of hostile fire pay, to be provided care for that pregnancy on the same basis prescribed for the dependents of members on active duty. (Amends 10 U.S.C. 1079(d)(4); adds 10 U.S.C. 1089)
