Summary
Authorizes the Secretary of Transportation, at the request of a State, to redesignate the numerical designation of an Interstate System highway route located in another State which borders such State if the Secretary determines, based upon the recommendation of an advisory committee established pursuant to this Act, that the redesignation is in the public interest. Directs the Secretary to establish such a committee, for the purpose of reviewing such a request, composed of members selected by the Secretary from among experts in highway engineering and traffic safety who do not reside in the requesting State. Sets forth provisions with respect to the duties and termination of such committee.
