Summary
School Energy Assistance Act of 2001 - Directs the Secretary of Education to establish a two-year grant program to reimburse certain eligible local educational agencies, or schools funded by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, that have been severely impacted by rising energy costs, for up to half the increase in annual energy costs. Authorizes the Secretary to give priority to eligible entities that have demonstrated: (1) the greatest need for such funds; and (2) the strongest commitment to energy conservation.
