Summary

Hawaii Rivers and Harbors Act of 1983 - Authorizes and directs the Secretary of the Army, acting through the Chief of Engineers, to construct according to specified recommendations: (1) a flood control project on the Alenaio Stream on the Island of Hawaii, Hawaii; (2) an emergency lava flow control project in the vicinity of Hilo, Hawaii; (3) a navigation project at Hilo Harbor, Hawaii; and (4) a hydroelectric power project on the Wailua River on the Island of Kauai, Hawaii. Authorizes appropriations for fiscal years beginning after September 30, 1984.
