Summary

Amends the District of Columbia Self-Government and Governmental Reorganization Act to authorize the District of Columbia Council to establish the jurisdictional limit of the small claims and conciliation branch of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Amends the District of Columbia Code to make permanent the authority of the chief judge of the Superior Court to appoint and remove hearing commissioners of the court, and the authority of such hearing commissioners to hear specified types of cases. (Present law terminates such authority as of September 30, 1985.)
