Firefighter Emergency Relief Act - Authorizes the Secretary of the Treasury to make emergency relief grants to local governments for the purposes of paying the salaries of firefighting personnel who would otherwise be discharged from their positions because of economic factors. Forbids local governments from using such grants for the acquisition or maintenance of supplies, or for construction.
