Summary

Authorizes the Secretary of Education to make a grant or contract, to an organization or institution with substantial experience in curriculum-based entrepreneurship education, for a national clearinghouse for youth entrepreneurship education to: (1) facilitate professional development opportunities for teachers; (2) stimulate community partnerships with businesses, youth, agencies, and nonprofit entities (including faith-based, nonprofit, and other local organizations); (3) collect and disseminate curricular materials; and (4) undertake other activities to encourage teacher interest and involvement in entrepreneurship education, especially for students in grades seven through 12. Authorizes appropriations. Declares that curriculum-based youth entrepreneurship education programs with demonstrated records of empowering disadvantaged youth with applied mathematics, entrepreneurial, and other analytical skills shall be considered an eligible use of funds in specified programs under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965.
