Summary

Directs the National Park Service to prepare an environmental impact statement that evaluates alternative levels of development of a specified segment of the Appalachian Trail corridor in Vermont. Prohibits the execution of any land acquisitions or easements in the study area until such statement has been filed. Prohibits the Secretary of the Interior from taking action with respect to a certain easement signed January 19, 1989, until such statement has been filed.
