Summary

Protection from Non-Ionizing Radiation in the Workplace Act of 1979 - Amends the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 to direct the Secretary of Labor to publish within 60 days of enactment of this Act emergency temporary standards to protect employees from radio frequency industrial heating devices, to take effect immediately upon publication. Directs the Secretary to publish a proposed health and safety standards rule to protect employees from non-ionizing radiation (including radiation from radio frequency industrial heating devices) within 60 days from enactment of this Act.
