Summary
Amends the Mineral Lands Leasing Act to direct the Secretary of the Treasury to pay five percent of all sums received under the Geothermal Steam Act of 1970 to the States (other than Alaska) within the boundaries of which the leased lands or deposits are or were to be located. Provides that such sums are to be distributed as the State legislature may direct to the political subdivisions of the State in which the leased lands or deposits are or were located and which administers the public school system. Requires such money to be spent for public schools .
